Suicide Prevention

The District is committed to protecting the health and well-being of all students and understands that physical, behavioral, and emotional health are integral components of student achievement. Students are strongly encouraged to report if they or a friend are feeling suicidal or in need of help to a teacher, principal, or school counselor.

As noted in Board Policy 654 (Suicide Prevention), the Sevier County School System is committed to protecting the health and well-being of all students and understands that physical, behavioral, and emotional health are integral components of student achievement. Students are strongly encouraged to report if they, or a friend, are feeling suicidal or in need of help. Students will be provided and information will be posted regarding The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-8255 (TALK) and other available resources.  For more information on this important topic, please refer to Board Policy 654 at Sevier County School System.
