Students who are English language learners will take the ACCESS to assess students’ English proficiency. ACCESS assesses students in the four language domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The results are used in accountability measures and provide districts with information to guide placement in courses as well as establish the need for English as a Second Language (ESL) services.
