Individuals interested in applying for a substitute teaching position with the Sevier County School System must obtain an application from an administrator at one of our schools.
Applicants should:
The application is to be completed by the applicant in full and returned to the administrator at the same school location in which the application was obtained.
The administrator will review the application and complete reference checks. If the applicant is offered employment, they will receive further information from the administrator on how to complete the employment process.
Once an applicant has been offered employment as a substitute teacher, they will be given instructions for completing a federal background check.
The Substitute Teacher Coordinator at the Sevier County School System's Central Office will contact applicants after department head approval to schedule a substitute teacher orientation session. Fingerprinting must be completed before an applicant attends an orientation session.
