Student Safety Pass Tutorial

How It Works:

When boarding and exiting the school bus, students will scan their Safety Pass card or sticker. This simple scan updates our school transportation system in real time so district staff can verify that every child is safely on the correct bus.

Safety Pass F.A.Q.

    • Time & Location Verification: It creates an accurate record of when and where a student boards and exits the bus.

    • No Personally Identifiable Information (PII): The pass does not store student names, addresses, phone numbers, or photos.
    • No GPS Tracking in the Pass: The card itself contains no microchip, smart chip, or active tracking device. It simply functions when scanned at the bus door.

    • Keep It Ready: Please help your child keep their pass in a safe, easy-to-reach spot (such as attached to a backpack).
    • Keep It Safe: Remind your child that the pass is for their daily bus routine and should be taken care of.

    • No Child Denied Transportation: No student will ever be denied bus transportation if they lose, forget, or damage their Safety Pass.
    • Replacements: Because the information the pass provides is vital to maintaining student safety, please contact your child’s teacher or school principal promptly if a replacement pass is needed.
