We at Sevier County Schools appreciate your interest in a position with our district. This website is designed to assist you with your job search and to ensure that you understand the requirements that you must meet in order to be employed with our district.
As of July 1, 2007, any person seeking employment with Sevier County Schools will be subject to a criminal history records check and have his/her name submitted to the Department of Children's Services to determine if the potential employee was found by DCS to have committed child abuse.

Application Process for Non-Certified Support Personnel and Educational Assistants

*Applications are kept on file at the Sevier County Board of Education for two years.
Employment Process (After the Job Offer...)
- Obtain an employment authorization form completed and signed by the school principal and an information sheet with directions for background check pre-registration.
- Pre-register for your background check and finderprinting online at http://www.tennessee.cogentid.com or by calling 1.877.862.2425.
- Call All-Care Medical at 865.774.7481 and schedule a pre-employment physical. Physical must be completed BEFORE attending orientation.
- Attend a policies and benefits orientation. Orientation is held on Mondays at 1:00 p.m. in the board room at the central office. Please allow up to 3 hours for the orientation and sign-up process. All employees must arrive ON TIME for orientation. Late arrivals will be asked to attend the next scheduled orientation.
Prior to attending orientation, you should review the benefits that are offered to you. At orientation, you will be selecting your health and dental providers. Non-Certified Employees and Educational Assistants:
Items to Bring to Orientation
- Employment Authorization form (completed & signed by principal)
- Drivers license
- Social security card
- Social security numbers and date of birth for dependents and beneficiaries
- $48 money order for TBI background check (made payable to Cogent Systems) or proof of payment via credit card. NO cash, personal checks or business checks will be accepted
- Completed application for employment
- Teacher assistants should also bring diplomas and college transcripts (if applicable) and/or Paraprofessional test scores.
